Food Dehydrator Tre Spade Atacama Cube: Professional Drying Technology in a Compact Format
The Atacama Cube is the most compact model in Tre Spade's Atacama range, made for anyone who wants to dry their own food but has limited kitchen space. At only 35 cm wide it fits where other dehydrators do not, without compromising on the technology: the same patented Wide Flow system as in the bigger models blows the air horizontally across all 6 trays at once, so everything dries evenly without swapping trays along the way.

6 trays with a 2600 cm² drying surface

Temperatures up to 68 °C, 500 W

The 6 trays of 25 x 20 cm are food-grade ABS and give a combined 2600 cm² of drying surface, plenty for herbs from the garden, mushrooms from the forest walk, fruit snacks for the lunchbox or a batch of jerky. The temperature adjusts from ambient up to 68 °C, the cabinet in painted steel and reinforced nylon stands firmly on anti-slip rubber feet that also dampen vibration, and the safety switch makes it safe in daily use. In short: professional drying, home kitchen format.
Cut apples into thin, even slices and toss them in a little lemon water before drying, the acid keeps the slices from browning and adds a fresher taste. Dry until chewy or fully crisp, whichever you prefer. Healthier lunchbox snacks are hard to find, and kids eat them like crisps.
Features
- Space saving: Only 35 x 27 x 26 cm and 4 kg, easy to fit on the bench and to put away after use.
- Even drying: Patented Wide Flow technology with horizontal airflow dries all 6 trays equally, no rotating needed.

How to use
- Cut the produce into even, thin pieces and spread them on the trays without overlapping.

FAQ Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Atacama Cube and the Atacama Pro?
Both use the same patented Wide Flow technology with horizontal airflow, 500 W and temperatures up to 68 °C. The Cube is the compact model: 35 cm wide with 6 trays of 25 x 20 cm and a 2600 cm² drying surface. The Pro is 50 cm wide with bigger trays, a 5500 cm² surface and automatic programs. If you dry small batches and have little space, choose the Cube. If you dry a lot at once, choose the Pro.
What temperature should I use for different produce?
The rule of thumb is low heat for the delicate and high for meat: herbs and mushrooms at 40-50 °C, fruit and berries around 57-60 °C, and meat for jerky at the machine's highest setting. Classic jerky recipes use around 50 °C for about 8 hours for thin slices.
How do I store dried food best?
Let the food cool completely, then store it airtight, dark and dry, in sealed jars or ideally vacuum packed. Well dried herbs and mushrooms keep for years, dried fruit for many months. The less air and light, the longer the flavour and colour last.
