Information
Best Charcoal Birch & Oak (10 kg)
Why choose between fast ignition and long burn time when you can have both? Best Charcoal Birch & Oak is a carefully curated blend of European birch and oak. The birch ensures the charcoal lights quickly and reaches high temperatures in no time, while the oak is known for its high density, providing a long and stable burn. This makes the blend a favorite for both short grilling sessions and long "low & slow" projects.

Oak is a classic in the BBQ world because it adds a mild but distinct smoke flavor that suits almost any meat, fish, or vegetable. The flavor is slightly fuller than pure birch but not as dominant as hickory. The charcoal comes in large, hand-sorted chunks ("restaurant grade") that ensure superior airflow in your grill. This gives you precise temperature control and minimizes the risk of small pieces clogging the air intake.
This blend is especially well-suited for ceramic grills (Kamado). The long burn time of the oak allows you to run a "low & slow" pulled pork for 10-12 hours without refilling, while the birch makes it easy to raise the temperature again if you want to finish by searing steaks.

FAQ
What is the difference between this and Birch/Aspen?
Birch & Oak contains oak, which is a harder wood than aspen. This gives Birch & Oak slightly longer burn time and a more pronounced BBQ flavor, while Birch & Aspen is more neutral in taste.
Does it spark a lot?
This blend sparks very little compared to cheap charcoal, but slightly more than pure marabu or quebracho during lighting. Once glowing, it is stable and calm.
