The cloths are made of elastic and durable polyethylene, a plastic material that is 100% safe to use in contact with food. The unique, conical structure of the openings allows moisture (whey) to be efficiently guided away, completely without the cloth itself absorbing the liquid. Because the cloth does not retain moisture, you also need to apply much less pressure when pressing the cheese. The result? A smooth, perfect surface on your finished cheese - every single time!

When you place the cloth inside the cheese mould before adding the curd, you get a surface the cheese will not stick to. This is especially important if you are going to use the mould in a cheese press! The lightweight polyethylene cloth slides right out of the plastic mould when pressing is complete.

To achieve the best possible drainage of whey and a perfectly smooth surface on the cheese, it is important that you always place the curd against the smooth inside of the cheesemaking cloth.
How do I wash the cloths?
The cloths are easily reusable. We recommend that you shake off or rinse any solid residues, and then wash the cloth in warm water at 60-70 degrees Celsius. It will then be clean, hygienic, and ready for your next cheese project!
