Dreaming of the taste of Spanish tapas? With our Chorizo spice blend, you can easily make your own authentic chorizo sausages at home. The blend is carefully composed to provide the characteristic deep red color and the full bodied, slightly spicy flavor that defines a good chorizo. The base consists of generous amounts of paprika, balanced with garlic, chili, and herbs.

Easy Dosage

Although this spice is developed specifically for sausage production, it is incredibly versatile. Try it in meatballs (albondigas), in stews with pork or chicken, or as a rub on chops before grilling. For sausage makers, we recommend a dosage of approx. 25 to 35 grams per kilo of meat mince, depending on how strong a flavor you desire.

Tip for sausage making:
To bring out the very best flavor, mix the spice well into minced pork (preferably with some fat) and let the mixture rest in the fridge for 12-24 hours before stuffing the sausages. This allows the flavors to "marry". Want a smoked version? Add a little extra smoked paprika powder or smoke the sausages lightly after stuffing.

Does it contain salt?

Yes, the mix contains some salt, but when making sausages, you should taste or follow a recipe for the total salt amount (usually 15-20g total salt per kg sausage).

Can I use this for cured sausage?

Absolutely! This spice is perfect for cured chorizo. Remember to use nitrite salt for safe preservation in that case.
