Homesmoker Version 1.3 Starter Set
Homesmoker Version 1.3 is an improved Norwegian made automatic smoke generator for dedicated smokehouses. This version has a stronger heating element, better sealing against smoke leaks, a more robust microswitch and improved chip feed. The starter set includes everything you need to connect the unit to a smokehouse and start both hot and cold smoking.

Instructions
- Cut a 125 mm round opening in the smokehouse wall and install the wall flange securely.
- Place the Homesmoker close to the wall and connect the flexible duct between the unit and the smokehouse.
- Fill the extra chip chamber with suitable smoke dust or chips, for example alder or beech from the set.
- Connect power, select the desired program and start the Homesmoker.
- Check that the smokehouse has good draft and adjust inlet and outlet vents as needed.

How is version 1.3 different from older Homesmoker models?
Version 1.3 has a stronger heating element, better sealing, a more robust microswitch, improved chip feed and a stronger housing compared to earlier versions.
Do I need a separate fan in the smokehouse?
No, the Homesmoker has its own fan that blows smoke into the smokehouse. What you need is a cabinet with good natural draft and adjustable vents.
Which smoke chip type do you recommend?
Alder gives a mild classic flavour while beech gives a clean and slightly stronger smoke. Both are included in the starter set.
