Unlike many other solutions, this generator uses solid wooden smoke blocks and not sawdust or briquettes. You simply place a custom wood block on top of the heating element. After a few minutes, the heat starts to smolder the wood and creates a superior, clean smoke completely without any burnt taste. A single wood block produces steady smoke for up to 1.5 hours. When you switch to a new block of the same size, you are guaranteed exactly the same result every single time.
Create personal flavor profiles by sawing wood blocks with a thickness of 1.5 to 2 cm and a diameter of 5 to 7 cm. Feel free to drill a 5 mm thick hole in the middle of the block so that the smoke spreads even easier. Always remember to use clean and dry wood.

What types of wood can I use?
We recommend hardwoods and fruitwoods such as alder, beech, apple, oak, birch (without bark), and juniper. It is crucial that the wood has low moisture and is well dried. Always avoid pine and spruce, as these contain too much resin and provide a harsh, unwanted taste.
Can I use regular wood chips in this machine?
No, sawdust and briquettes cannot be used. This smoke generator is exclusively designed to use solid wood blocks. Sawdust will not work optimally with this heating element.
Is the ceramic tile included?
The machine should always be placed on a ceramic tile at the bottom of the smoker. The ceramic tile is not included when the smoke generator is ordered separately, but can easily be acquired yourself.
Is there anything special I need to do before first use?
Yes, upon the very first startup, we recommend that you let the smoke vent into the open air for a few minutes without food in the cabinet. This removes any residual oil smell on the heating element from production.
