Electric Meat Grinder Tre Spade TC-22 Elegant Plus: Built for the Big Butchering Days
The TC-22 Elegant Plus from Italian Tre Spade is the grinder for anyone working in volume: the hunter with a whole animal on the bench, the sausage maker with a weekend's production ahead. The single-phase asynchronous induction motor of 600 W (0.80 HP) drives a full size 22 grinder and processes up to 160 kg of meat per hour. The motor housing, hopper and base are stainless steel, while the body, worm and ring are tin-plated cast iron, the classic combination that takes years of hard use.

The knife and plate are self-sharpening stainless steel, and a standard 8 mm plate is included, a coarse all-round choice for game mince, coarse sausages and burger meat. Other hole sizes are available separately. If a sinew jams the works, the reverse function runs the worm backwards and frees the blockage without dismantling, and when the day is done the quick-release system opens the grinder head for a fast wash. At 18 kg, with 80 rpm and non-slip feet, it stands rock solid through the whole session.
Game meat is lean, often under 5 percent fat, and pure game mince makes dry sausages. Blend in pork back fat or fatty pork until the mix lands at 20-30 percent fat, the fat is what carries juiciness and flavour. Grind the game and the fat separately first, then you control the blend exactly.

FAQ Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the TC-8 Young and the TC-22 Elegant Plus?
The TC-8 Young is the hobby model: 300 W, size 8 and up to 60 kg per hour. The TC-22 Elegant Plus is the big brother with a twice as strong 600 W motor, a size 22 grinder head and up to 160 kg per hour, plus reverse, quick-release and a stainless steel motor housing. If you grind a couple of kilos at a time, the TC-8 is enough. If you grind whole animals or big productions, the TC-22 is worth the investment.
What is the reverse function for?
Reverse runs the worm backwards, so sinew and tough pieces that have jammed come loose without dismantling the grinder head mid-session. It also makes the worm easier to release for
