Why use a meat mixer? To make good sausages, the meat must be kneaded until it becomes sticky (myosin extraction). Doing this by hand melts the fat and makes dry sausages. The machine does the job quickly while the meat stays cold!

Instructions

  1. Attach the crank handle to the shaft.
  2. Place minced meat, spices, and any liquid (water/milk) in the container.
  3. Put on the transparent lid.
  4. Crank steadily until the mix becomes "sticky" and adheres to the walls (usually 2-4 minutes).
  5. Remove the mixing arm and transfer the mix to the sausage stuffer or form patties.

FAQ

Can I wash it in the dishwasher?
The stainless tank and mixing arm can technically be machine washed, but the red housing (gearbox) cannot handle it. We recommend hand washing all parts to preserve plastic bushings and paint for as long as possible.
What is the minimum amount of meat needed?
For the paddles to grip well, you should have at least 1-2 kg of meat. If you have very small amounts, a kitchen stand mixer is often easier. This is ideal for batches from 3 kg up to 8 kg.
Is it hard to crank?
There is resistance, especially when the mix starts to bind (become sticky), but the crank ratio makes it manageable for most people. It is much easier than kneading by hand!
