Sausage Filling Spacer Plate for Tre Spade TC-12
If you plan to use your Tre Spade TC-12 grinder to make sausages, this plate is a "must-have". It is designed to be inserted into the grinder housing in place of the knife and the regular mincing plate. Its function is to keep the worm gear in place and let the finished meat paste pass through without resistance. If you try to stuff sausages with the knife installed, the meat will be cut a second time. This ruins the binding in the paste and often results in dry, crumbly sausages. With this spacer plate, you avoid that problem completely.

Tip: Remember that you also need sausage funnels (the tubes you thread the casing onto) to fill the sausages. This plate only prepares the machine for the job, but does not come with funnels.

Instructions
- Unscrew the locking ring on the grinder.
- Remove the mincing plate and the knife (but leave the worm gear/screw in).
- Insert this spacer plate onto the pin of the worm gear.
- Place the sausage funnel on the outside and screw the locking ring back in place.
- Run the machine and fill the sausages.
FAQ
Why can't I just use the coarsest mincing plate?
If you use a regular mincing plate, you must also have the knife installed for the worm gear to sit correctly. Then you cut the finished paste a second time, which often destroys the structure and makes the sausages less juicy.
Does it fit brands other than Tre Spade?
It is adapted for the Tre Spade TC-12 system. Although "size 12" is a standard, the pin on the worm gear can vary slightly between manufacturers, so we only guarantee fit on Tre Spade.
Can it be machine washed?
Yes, it is made of metal (stainless or aluminum depending on batch, but normally withstands washing). However, we recommend hand washing to be sure that all meat residues in nooks and crannies are removed.
