For the very best results, the meat should be thoroughly chilled (preferably almost frozen) before grinding. Cut the meat into long strips that fit into the hopper to ensure a smooth and even feed, completely without overloading the grinder or mashing the meat fibers.

- Mount the grinder housing onto the motor unit and ensure the locking ring is securely tightened before use.
- Place the meat strips on the feed tray and use the stomper to gently push the meat down into the grinder. Never use your fingers!
- Disassemble, hand wash, and thoroughly dry the cast iron parts (housing, screw, locking ring) immediately after use to avoid rust. Feel free to lubricate them with a thin layer of cooking oil.

No, the tinned cast iron parts must be washed by hand and dried immediately. Only the stainless steel parts (hopper and cover) are theoretically dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the nice finish over time.

The product comes with a superb 10-year warranty that covers parts and service for pure manufacturing defects. However, the gear (plastic safety switch) is a deliberate wear part that is not covered if it breaks due to misuse (e.g., bones in the grinder).
