Can I use this size in a cold smoking maze?
The "Fine" size (1 to 4 mm) is a bit too coarse for most smoke mazes (like ProQ), as they require a finer powder to smolder evenly without going out. For mazes, we recommend that you choose the "Powder" size (0.1 to 1 mm) instead.
Do I need to soak the wood chips before use?
When using the chips in electric smoke generators like Borniak or Holmsmoker, the chips must always be completely dry to avoid clogging the machine. However, if you place the chips in a smoker box on a gas grill, you can lightly moisten them to extend the smoking time.
