Information

Smoke Seasoning: smoky flavour in mince, marinades and sauces without a smoker

Smoke Seasoning is a concentrated powder of salt and smoke flavouring that gives a smoky taste without smoking the food. It mixes straight into sausage mince, marinades, sauces and rubs, and gives the same smoky flavour in every batch. A practical choice when you do not have a smoker, or want to boost the smoke in something already smoked.

Smoky flavour without a smoker
1 to 2 g per kg
For mince, sauces and marinades
Hot and cold dishes

The seasoning spreads evenly through mince and sauces, so the smoky flavour is the same throughout the dish. Use it in BBQ sauces, rubs, stews, soups and sausage mince, or in marinades for meat and fish. As a powder it is easy to weigh accurately, both in the kitchen and in larger production.

Pro tip!
Start with 1 g per kg and taste. The seasoning is concentrated, and too much gives a bitter, harsh smoke flavour. Remember that it contains salt, so taste the mince before adding more salt.
